The Value of FinCEN Data
On May 10, 2016, FinCEN held its second annual Law Enforcement Awards Ceremony , during which FinCEN recognized criminal cases where Bank Secrecy Act data played a significant role in successful prosecutions. These cases demonstrate that the reporting and transparency that financial institutions provide under FinCEN’s regulations can result in some of the most important information available to law enforcement.
