Analyst Ann Martin

September 16, 2011

The nonprofit Partnership for Public Service presented nine Samuel J. Heyman Service to America Medals (Sammies) on September 15 to outstanding public servants who are making high-impact contributions to the health, safety and well-being of Americans.

"I'm passionate about my work at FinCEN because efforts to combat financial crimes, like money laundering, play an essential part in our government's strategy to tackle the serious threat of transnational organized crime."

---- FinCEN Senior Intelligence Research Specialist, Ann S. Martin

"FinCEN is a small bureau within the Treasury Department and we are fortunate to draw big talent because of the important work that we do. Ann’s exceptional analysis of cross-border currency flows has had an international impact and shows what dedicated individuals, working in top-notch teams, can accomplish. We are very proud of this special recognition and we are very proud of all that FinCEN does, in partnership with our law enforcement customers and our financial industry partners, to protect the U.S. financial system from criminal abuse."

---- FinCEN Director, James H. Freis, Jr.
