31 U.S.C. § 5323 contains provisions to protect whistleblowers against retaliation for engaging in protected activity, which includes reporting to their employers or to the federal government potential violations of the BSA, IEEPA, TWEA, the Kingpin Act, or a conspiracy to violate those laws.
Any whistleblower alleging retaliation in violation of 31 U.S.C. § 5323(g)(1) may file a complaint with the Department of Labor and, in certain circumstances, bring an action against their employer in the appropriate district court of the United States.
